Calendar

The Mountain offers programs for all ages — from youth camp to leadership training for adults and youth and intergenerational programs that families can enjoy together.  In addition,The Mountain hosts gatherings, meetings and events for a variety of groups and organizations. Nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountains at an elevation of 4200 feet, the inspiring view from our mountaintop is the perfect background for your gathering! 

The Mountain is capable of hosting multiple groups at the same time. If you're interested in bringing a group and want to check on the availability of certain dates, please call (828) 526-5838 ext 250 or e-mail sales@mountaincenters.org. Ask about our great weekday rates!

Mountain Homecoming

Join us for The Mountain's Annual Homecoming Weekend. This Memorial Day tradition is an inter-generational weekend full of fun and family with a little bit of work mixed in.

Enjoy Steve O'Neil from Earthshine Nature, a concert by Lee Knight, and many other exciting workshops and opportunites.

All inclusive rate for adults/3 nights is $280 for this Family Friendly Program which includes the Annual Meeting and Report to the Members.  Youth 12-17 are $96. Outdoor Skills and Adventure is an incredible two-week experience that focuses on adventurous activities with fellow campers.

 

The first week will be spent building teamwork skills and community during outdoor activities (rock climbing, high-ropes, and off-Mountain trips), completing a one-day service project, and preparing the campers and their equipment for the second week of hiking in either the Pisgah or Nantahala National Forest.

In classic Mountain Tradition, this program brings together all the outdoor fun of whitewater rafting, rock climbing, and zip lining (activities fees apply) to those you've known and loved in the past.
