Calendar

The Mountain offers programs for all ages — from youth camp to leadership training for adults and youth and intergenerational programs that families can enjoy together.  In addition,The Mountain hosts gatherings, meetings and events for a variety of groups and organizations. Nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountains at an elevation of 4200 feet, the inspiring view from our mountaintop is the perfect background for your gathering! 

The Mountain is capable of hosting multiple groups at the same time. If you're interested in bringing a group and want to check on the availability of certain dates, please call (828) 526-5838 ext 250 or e-mail sales@mountaincenters.org. Ask about our great weekday rates!

Beginning MountainCamp

For ages 6-8, this 5 day Camp is the perfect introduction to the MountainCamp experience.  With a 3:1 camper to counsellor ratio, campers will enjoy arts and crafts, nature hikes, swimming, campfires, scavenger hunts and other programs. Click here for online registration.

Intermediate MountainCamp

For youth ages 12-14 (formerly Junior High Camp). This camp provides opportunites to learn and grow in a community of supportive friends while offering a full array of activities designed to meet the high energy needs of this age group.  Offering something fun for all personalities, optional whitewater rafting on the Nantahala River and the high ropes challenge course activity are popular yearly highlights! Click here for online registration.

Explorer MountainCamp

For ages 12-14, Explorers MountainCamp is focused on the outdoor experience and is designed to introduce campers to a wilderness experience. Rafting, Rock Climbing and both High and Low Rope Challenge courses are offered.  After learning basic wilderness survival skills, Exploreres will go on a three day base camping experience. Click here for online registration.
