Volunteer Opportunities

Mountain volunteers carry out and sustain our mission by serving alongside year-round staff in areas of need. Both long-term and short-term assignments are available throughout the year with room and board provided.

Volunteer assignments include:

  • Maintenance- responsible for general repair and upkeep of facilities and equipment including groundskeeping, light carpentry and plumbing, painting and trash/recycling collection

  • Guest Services- responsible for housekeeping- guest living spaces, meeting space set-up, etc.

  • Kitchen- responsible for assisting in the preparation of nutritious meals; including dining set up and clean up duties (food service experience helpful, but not necessary)

  • Office- responsible for greeting guests, room set-ups, community social time management, general logistical support and after-hours duties (may involve kitchen and housekeeping duties, as well); as appropriate and applicable, driving Mountain vehicles for guest transport and shuttles

  • Farm- responsible for assisting in all aspects of farm and garden management

Interested adults, 18 years and older, are encouraged to complete the volunteer application form. For more information, email Julia Jamieson, Volunteer Coordinator.

"The volunteer coordinator is a wizard at matching each volunteer's special skills and/or limitations with the work to be done, so that each of us can contribute with service that is both comfortable and satisfying."
