The Mountain’s programs reflect our strong commitment to peace, justice and environmental stewardship. Our focus is to provide experiences across the lifespan that prepare and inspire people to work for the common good. The professional program staff and faculty provide dynamic, relevant and age-appropriate experiences. Some of the programs and programming elements include:
- Mountain Institutes for Social Change give people the opportunity to learn from and engage with social change leaders in the areas of the arts, young adult development, environmental sustainability, spirituality and organizational leadership. More>>>
- MountainCamp has provided enriching youth summer camps filled with recreation, adventure and peace and justice experiential education for more than 30 years. More>>>
- Youth CONs place a strong emphasis on creating an inclusive, non-competitive environment where youth can develop a deeper understanding of themselves and form lifelong friendships. More>>>
- Mountain-Designed Programs use both internal and external faculty resources to address pressing issues of our times.
In addition to Mountain designed programs, our programming staff work with retreat groups to offer highly-customized programs that are well-suited to the group’s objectives. Some of the retreat programming and workshops include:
-Low and high ropes courses
-Environmental education and organic gardening
