An Invitation to Be a Part of The Mountain Community
The Mountain has been a cherished 'home' to over 120,000 people since its founding in 1979 as a youth camp and retreat center where the values of Unitarian Universalism are practiced and lived. Embracing the diversity of life, our community includes people of all faiths and traditions. We welcome individuals and families of all kinds, and are a pluralistic community that is inclusive of race, gender and age.
This is an invitation to you to be a part of this experience. The Mountain depends on donations for 25% of its annual income. These donations, large and small, come from people like you, who believe in our shared responsibilities to make the world better for all, assuring that all individuals experience their inherent worth and dignity.
Your donations help provide scholarships and support for:
- Youth to attend The Mountain’s excellent Mountain camps
- Affordable pricing for a broad constituency of people who enjoy our retreats and programs
Please learn about the many options you have for supporting The Mountain. These include Annual Memberships, The Endowment Fund, planned gifts and corporate matching programs.
“Now is the accepted time, not tomorrow, not some more convenient season. It is today that our best work can be done and not some future day or future year. It is today that we fit ourselves for the greater usefulness of tomorrow. Today is the seed time, now are the hours of work, and tomorrow comes the harvest and the play-time.”
