All gifts to The Mountain are truly appreciated. Toward that end we have tried to make donating as easy as possible. Your choices are as follows:
Annual Memberships in The Mountain are $50.00 per person, per year. Young Adult memberships (under age 35) are $25.00 per person, per year. While we no longer offer Life Memberships, we will always honor the membership of those who hold them, and sustaining gifts from both Life and Annual Members are encouraged and appreciated!
The Mountain Vision Holder program honors cummulative lifetime giving, starting at $10,000.
Memorial gifts are a special way to remember family members and close friends. The Mountain has a scatter garden for ashes with a wall of plaques honoring individuals by name and “dates.” In addition, the names of those honored “in memoriam” are displayed on a plaque in The Mountain’s Heritage Hallway. The memorial gift is $1,500 which includes, in addition to the recognition noted above, a memorial service provided by staff at the time of scattering and a meal for 10 or fewer family/friends attending the memorial service, if either or both are desired.
There are an increasing number of corporations which will match at some level, gifts to nonprofits made by their employees (active or retired). Ask your company or organization for an application and give The Mountain an opportunity to qualify. Often such a match doubles the impact of your gift.
Today, more than ever, people are planning ahead to make their charitable giving through a number of planned or deferred giving vehicles. These options include but are not limited to wills and codicils, life insurance beneficiaries, charitable remainder trusts and charitable gift annuities. Some of these provide income during one’s lifetime with the assets of the trust passing to the named beneficiary upon one’s death.
The Endowment Fund’s purpose is “to provide financial support for The Mountain Retreat & Learning Center, Inc.” While operating independently of The Mountain, the Endowment Board of Directors is committed to enhancing the current and long-term financial viability of The Mountain.
The Mountain gladly accepts stock and security transfers in support of its mission.
